Palak Paneer 


Halwai style.   

2 tbsp oil         

1 TSP Jeera   

2  TSP chopped garlic           

1 TSP chopped  ginger          

2 TSP Red chilly powder

2 TSP coriander powder

Salt to taste

1 bunch  palak cleaned                      

2 green chilly whole   

1 cup coriander fresh 

1 cup yoghurt 

200 GMS paneer cubed        

2 tsp turmeric  powder

1 Tsp ginger powder  

1 TSP saunf powder  

2 tsp kitchen king masala      

1 pinch cinnamon powder

1 TSP KASOORI methi         

1/4 cup cream

1 tbsp butter   

1  tbsp ghee   

3 nos Whole red chillies

Chopped coriander for garnish 

METHOD

  • Blanch palak, and grind it together with green chilly and fresh coriander to a smooth paste
  • Marinate the paneer cubes with salt, turmeric and red chilly powder and pan fry the paneer till crisp using a little oil
  • Heat oil in pan add jeera and whole chillies, and allow it to crackle remove 2 whole chillies for garnish, then add some chopped garlic, chopped ginger and saute well
  • Add red chilly powder, Turmeric and coriander powder and cook on medium heat
  • Add a cup of curd and cook further stirring continuously
  • Add ginger powder, saunf powder, sabzi masala, kasoori methi and cook further
  • Add spinach puree and cook till pleasent aroma releases.
  • Add cream and butter and cinnamon powder
  • Then add fried paneer and cook on slow heat          
  • Finally adjust seasoning by adding salt, salt it added in the end to preserve green colour of spinach
  • Serve hot  and garnish with cream and reservef fried chillies
