  • ½ tbsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • ½ tbsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Amchur Powder (Dried Mango Powder)
  • ½ tsp Tatri (Citric Acid)
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Black Salt
  • ½ tsp Sugar

For Sweet Chilli Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Chilli Flakes
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour

For Potato Snack:

  • 4-5 Boiled Potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 tsp Black Salt
  • 1 tsp Jeera Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander
  • Oil, for deep frying

 

 

Method:

 

1. Prepare the Spice Mix:

  • Heat a pan over medium heat and dry roast coriander seeds, jeera, cloves, and black pepper until fragrant.
  • Transfer roasted spices to a mixer jar and add amchur powder, tatri, red chilli powder, black salt, and sugar.
  • Grind into a fine powder and set aside.

2. Make the Sweet Chilli Sauce:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic, and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add chilli flakes and sauté for a minute.
  • Pour in vinegar, sugar, water, honey, and salt. Simmer for a minute.
  • Mix cornflour with water to make a slurry and add it to the pan. Cook until thickened.
  • Let the sauce cool and store in an airtight container.

3. Prepare the Potato Snack:

  • Grate boiled potatoes onto a flat plate.
  • Season with black salt, jeera powder, chilli flakes, chopped coriander, and cornflour.
  • Knead into a smooth dough and let it rest for a while.
  • Roll the dough into thin cylindrical shapes.
  • Heat oil for deep frying and fry the potato sticks until golden brown.
