Grilled Cheese Sandwich


  • For Pepper Onion Jam:
  • Cooking oil
  • Salted butter
  • Red bell pepper julienne
  • Sliced onion
  • Brown sugar
  • White vinegar
  • Salt
  • Black pepper crushed
  • Chilly flakes
  • For Sandwich:
  • Multigrain bread slices
  • Onion pepper jam ( recipe above)
  • Cheese slices
  • Butter for frying
  • For Side Salad:
  • Cherry tomato
  • Onion sliced
  • Seedless green olives
  • Ice berg lettuce
  • Salt
  • Black pepper crushed
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil


  • First, chop some juliennes of red pepper and keep it aside.
  • Then heat a pan and add some oil and butter to it. Tip if you add both butter and oil it will help in giving a nice caramelized jam. But if you only use butter, it might get burnt quickly.
  • Then add the chopped red pepper and juliennes of onions and let it cook well.
  •  low flame for 2 to 3 mins.

  • Then add some brown sugar to give a nice flavor and color and some vinegar, salt for taste, and a little bit of crushed black pepper and some chili flakes Mix all of them and let it for few more mins until it wilts.
  • Then for the side salad cut come cherry tomatoes into halves or quarters and some slices of onions and add them in a bowl, then add some olives to give a nice tart taste.
  • Then add some cracked pepper, some salt, and some olive oil and toss all of it well now add some iceberg or lettuce to the bowl and toss it well. Your salad is read.
  • Then take two slices of any bread and add the jam (the mixture of onions and pepper) and add a slice of cheese on top of it and place it on a grill pan and grill it.
  • Then remove it on a plate and slice it from between and serve it with the salad we prepared earlier.
