Veg Chowmin
Ingredients
- Onion 25 grams
- Oil 20 ml
- Green chilly chopped 10 grams
- Ginger 10 grams
- Garlic 20 grams
- Carrot 25 grams
- Cabbage 25 grams
- Capsicum green 25 grams
- Noodles boiled 80 grams
- Lite soy 15 ml
- Dark soy 15 ml
- Green chilly sauce 20 ml
- Salt to taste
- Vinegar 20 ml
- Tomato ketchup (optional) 30 ml
- Spring onion 20 grams
Method
- Heat a Chinese wok or a thick kadhai and pour some oil allow it to smoke.
- Quickly stir in chopped ginger and once the ginger is golden brown add some green chilies, chopped onions bell peppers of different colors, and chopped carrots. And cook at a very high flame tossing it continuously to prevent it from burning.
- Then add in the boiled noodles make sure you do not over or under boil the noodles. Tip: after you boil the noodles immediately drain them and put them in cold water to avoid the noodles from being mashy.
- Then some synthetic vinegar, light soy and dark soya sauce, some red chili sauce, some salt, and finally some pepper powder and toss it briefly.
- Finish the dish with some diamond-shaped cut spring onions
- Serve hot!!
