Bombay Sandwich
Ingredients:
For sandwich no 1:
Sliced Onion – 1 no
Sliced tomato – 1 no
Sliced cucumber – 1 no
Sliced capsicum – 1 no
Sliced beetroot – 1 no
For sandwich no 2:
Oil – 2 tbsp
Cumin and mustard seed – 1 tbsp
Chopped ginger – 1 tbsp
Green chili – 1 no
Curry leaves – 8-10 nos
Chopped onion – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Turmeric – ½ tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Roasted cumin powder
Boiled potato – 2 nos
For finishing :
Sliced bread – 4 nos
Mayonnaise – 4 tsp
Butter – 4 tsp
Mint chutney – 4 tsp
Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Cheese – 1 cub
Method:
For sandwich filling no 1:
Slice onion, tomato, cucumber, capsicum, beetroot and keep it aside.
For sandwich filling no 2:
In pan heat oil and roast cumin and mustard seeds
Add chopped ginger, green chili, curry leaves, chopped onion and cook everything
Add salt, turmeric, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder and add boiled potato and mix it together
Add little bit of water for everything should cook properly.
For finishing :
On a bread slice apply mayonnaise, butter, mint chutney
On one bread slice we top with sliced vegetables, chaat masala, grated cheese and cover with another bread slice
And on second bread slice apply potato mixture, sliced tomato, sliced onion, sliced cucumber, sliced capsicum, chaat masala, grated cheese and cover with another slice of bread
And apply butter on both the sandwich top and apply butter on griller also
And grill the sandwich and serve it with green chutney and sev.
