Farsi puri gujarati


Refined flour               4 cups

Suji                             ½ cup

Jeera                          1 tbsp

Kasoori methi             1 tbsp

Kalonji                         1 tsp

Salt                             ½ tbsp

Red chilli powder        1 tsp

Turmeric powder        1 tsp

Kasoori methi             1 tbsp

Jeera                          1 tbsp

Black pepper              1 tbsp

Ajwain                        1 tsp 

Ghee                          6 tbsp

Rice flour                    2 tbsp

Take a bowl, add refined flour,suji and salt. Mix them.

Divide it into two portions.

Take a mortar and pestle, add jeera, ajwain, black pepper and pound it.

Heat a pan, add ghee and heat it up.

1 st Dough 

Take half of the flour mixture. Add this pounded masala salt to the mixture.

Add this warm mohin to the flour and rub the mohin into the flour.

Then add water and knead it to a firm dough.

Rest the dough for 10 mins.

Divide the dough into small portions.

Roll it to a flat sheet, cut round shapes with the help of a cutter.

Heat oil for deep frying. Deep fry them till it gets crispy.

Once done, remove it on a plate and serve.

2 nd Dough

Take half of the flour mixture, add turmeric, red chilli powder, kalonji, kasoori methi, pounded masala, warm ghee and rub the flour.

Add some water and knead it. The dough should be tight.

Rest the dough for 10 mins.

Divide the dough into small portions.

Roll it to a flat sheet, cut round shapes with the help of a cutter.

Heat oil for deep frying. Deep fry them till it gets crispy.

Once done, remove it on a plate and serve.

Roll the both dough into circular flat sheets.

Take one sheet of 1st dough, apply ghee and rice flour paste.

Place the 2nd dough sheet on it and apply ghee and rice flour paste.

Repeat this one more time, but don't apply this paste after the last sheet.

Then roll it into cylindrical shape and cut it into small segments.

Now with the help of a rolling pin, roll it to a flat circular shape.

Heat oil for deep frying. Deep fry them till it gets crispy.

Once done, remove it on a plate.

Farsi puris are ready to serve.
